About Us
The Story
During the summer of 2016 Cody and I (Devon) took a month long trip to Bali, Indonesia, and had the time of our lives. We stayed in some amazing co-living spaces (hostels, villas, Airbnbs), and met so many amazing people. We made unforgettable memories. We kept thinking, "Why can't we live like this back in San Francisco?"
We Want To Have Nice Things
In Bali, we loved hanging out at beautiful indoor/outdoor bars/cafes, around bon fires, and on the beach. At La Playa Collective we strive to create a similar environment.
We Want To Meet Awesome People
Like I said, we met the coolest people in Bali. We are only inviting friendly, interesting, respectful, and cleanly people to live at La Playa Collective because, we believe that everyone is the average of the company that they keep.
We Love The Ocean
We both grew up spending as much time as possible at the beach and in the water. The house is located such that our mornings are spent with warm cups of coffee in the backyard, in good compnay, with the sound of crashing waves, and the smell of salt water in the air. We surf everyday that the waves are good.

Keypad locked private bedrooms. Your space is your space. All your things are secure, all the time.

Beautiful Shared Spaces
The shared spaces are beautifully furnished and maintained. House keepers come once per week to keep shared spaces / bathrooms clean and organized.

Gigabit fiber internet connection for all of the house to enjoy. Google Wi-Fi routers throughout the house for strong connections in every room.

Quality Roommates
All your roommates are thoroughly vetted and you get a say in who is admitted into the house. We only admit roommates that are friendly, interesting, respectful, and cleanly.

Optional Furnished Room
We offer furnished rooms. Ask about availability. The house is beautiful and your room should be too.

Short Term Lease Commitment
We offer short term leases (4 month commitment, then month to month). Nobody should feel like they have to stay here. We only want roommates that love to be here as much as we do.
